After almost a year of planning, applications, survey design, consultation, and even accidentally deleting the survey once (!!) Brendan Churchill and I have launched our collaborative research project, Scrolling Beyond Binaries. The project is exploring the use of social media amongst young (16-35) LGBTIQ+ Australians. In just the first week the survey has already received over 350 responses! We’re thrilled with how quickly and widely the survey has been shared, and just a brief look at the preliminary results indicates how rich this data is going to be. We look forward to writing about the results! The next phase of the project will include semi-structured in-depth interviews with volunteers.
